What are your writing goals for 2016?

I’ve been diligently working on my short story for the next Writer’s Digest contest. It has a very dark theme but it’s something that I started working on about a year ago with the aim of turning it into a novel or screen-play. However, before I can do that I need to finish Sarah Blue & the two sequels I have planned for her.

What are your goals for 2016?

I hope to start pitching Sarah Blue. I thought I’d be doing that this month but I’ve after reading through the Guide to Literary Agents: The Most Trusted Guide to Getting Published (Chuck Sambuchino), I decided to do some more editing.

Nearly every agent in that book said: “Don’t submit too early. Edit, edit, edit.” So I took that as a sign to edit some more.

I’ve been debating getting some beta-readers to take a look at it. If you’re interested, please email me at: EverythingOnPaperIsPerfect@yahoo.com or DM me on Instagram.

Leave your 2016 writing plans and goals in the comments!

I’ve done away with The Spark as a regular Saturday prompt as I don’t believe it’s being utilized. If you are out there and using it, drop me a comment if you want it back.

This blog is updated (mostly) every Friday.
